Light Housekeeping in Parkland
Of everything on this list, this is the one we would actively talk you out of buying separately. It belongs inside an hour you are already paying for.
Why we would rather you did not buy it
A cleaner costs less per hour than a care aide and does a more thorough job of the heavy work. Paying aide rates for scrubbing is poor value and we will say so.
What an aide is good for is the small continuous stuff — the machine put on, the fridge cleared, the floor made walkable — done in the gaps of a visit booked for something else.
So the honest version of this service is a list of things that happen anyway, at no extra cost, rather than a line on an invoice.
Housekeeping is never sold here as its own booking; it fills the gaps in a care visit.
What gets done in those gaps
Whichever rooms are actually lived in, held at a level that takes friction out of a day.
Kitchen
Washing up, surfaces, the bin, and anything past its date taken off the fridge shelves.
Laundry
Machine, dryer, then back into the drawer it belongs in rather than onto a chair.
Bed linen
Off and remade, with the old set already washing before the visit ends.
Floors kept walkable
Things put away, the vacuum where it is wanted, and anything gathering along the walking routes lifted.
The bathroom
Basin, lavatory and tray. The one room where keeping pace genuinely repays the time.

It is usually more than families assume, and it costs nothing on top.
